It was a pleasure to chair a discussion today at Westminster with a visiting Delegation from the Republic of Korea’s National Assembly. Facilitated by the Inter Parliamentary Union the Delegation was headed by Kim Min Ki, the Secretary General of the National Assembly. We discussed ways of strengthening democracy, the rule of law and human rights – and the strong links between the UK and the Republic of Korea – and the dangers posed to regional and world peace by the dictatorship in North Korea.
