Rebecca Sharibu- Leah’s mother

Leah Sharibu is a Christian schoolgirl who was abducted along with 109 of her classmates by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) from their school in Dapchi, north east Nigeria, in February 2018. While her surviving classmates returned a month later following government negotiations, she was denied her freedom for refusing to convert as a precondition for release. She has remained in captivity ever since, and the terrorists have declared her a “slave for life”
